Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Project QC Manager to lead and manage all project quality control activities, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, client specifications, and company Quality Management Systems. The role will be responsible for driving quality performance across projects, managing QC teams, and serving as the primary focal point for quality-related matters with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of project-specific Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Report to the QA/QC Manager and Project Management Team (PMT) on project quality performance, trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Act as the primary point of contact with clients on all quality control matters related to the project.
• Lead, manage, and develop the project Quality Control team to achieve project quality objectives.
• Ensure proactive quality surveillance and inspection activities throughout all phases of project execution.
• Provide guidance and support to Construction Management Teams (CMT) on quality control requirements and best practices.
• Ensure effective implementation of the Project Quality Plan and achievement of intended quality outcomes.
• Establish and monitor project-specific Quality Objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality improvement initiatives.
• Investigate non-conformities and oversee corrective and preventive actions to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Ensure timely resolution and close-out of NCRs, observations, and quality-related issues.
• Coordinate inspections, audits, and surveillance activities involving clients, third-party inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and contractual quality requirements.
• Monitor project quality records and ensure proper documentation, traceability, and reporting.
• Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the project team.
• Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders regarding quality performance and compliance requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure audit findings are addressed effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Degree, Diploma, or Professional Training Certification in Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum 20 years of Quality Control experience with prior experience as Project QC Manager on major Oil & Gas, EPC, Fabrication, Construction, or Marine projects.
Certifications/Training: Lead Auditor ISO 9001 certification is mandatory.
Skills: Strong leadership, quality management, audit management, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Software: Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001 requirements, fabrication and construction quality processes, project quality planning, inspection requirements, and client quality standards.
Languages: Fluent in English.

About the Team
Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory
Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) was established in 2009 with the aim of catering to the Marine and Oil & Gas Industry in the UAE. Located in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, the factory features one of the largest facilities of its kind in the country, comprising a 280,000m2 yard and a 545m waterfront.
It's the closest yard to the Abu Dhabi Oil Fields, giving it a highly strategic location with good access to onshore and offshore fields alike. The facility allows Ali & Sons to easily serve local and overseas markets thanks to its close proximity to UAE borders.
Equipped with an advanced workshop, repair, and building facility, ASMEF ensures that Ali & Sons' high standards are consistently met.
