Job Summary The Communications Manager will support the Marketing & Communications department's communications needs and is responsible for creating engaging, high-quality content to inform, connect and inspire employees. This role blends strategy and execution with hands-on responsibility for writing, video production and content editing across multiple internal channels-using a style and voice that are consistent with the Baylor Scott & White Mission, Vision and Values. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller who can create compelling content and is comfortable managing projects from inception through completion.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Develops and creates content aligned with organizational goals and priorities

• Supports high-visibility projects while maintaining editorial standards, tone and voice

• Writes, edits and produces a wide range of internal communications

• Plans, shoots and oversees (or performs) editing of video content-managing production from conception through final delivery

• Manages content across internal communication channels (intranet, digital signage, email platforms, newsletters, etc.)

• Meets deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously and maintaining quality standards

Key Success Factors

• At least five years of communications experience with a focus on storytelling (be able to provide work samples)

• Ability to work collaboratively, independently and proactively while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision

• Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution

• Strong storytelling and creative thinking skills-and ability to write, edit and produce in a variety of styles with experience creating visual content

• Excellent attention to detail and quality control

• Experience with digital content management systems

• Working knowledge of photography, lighting and audio recording techniques

• Proficiency in common workplace applications, including Microsoft 365 products, including but not limited to Engage and Sharepoint

Preferred qualifications

• Hands-on experience producing and editing video content

• Proficiency with video editing and graphic design tools

• Experience in a healthcare environment a plus

• EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

• EXPERIENCE - Minimum 5 Years of Experience
