Charles Abbott Associates (CAA) is currently interviewing for a Senior Level Building Inspector for several of our clients in Orange County.

Essential duties for this position include but are not limited to: 

• Conducting field inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects including structural, plumbing, mechanical and electrical installations for code, standards and regulation compliance.

• Issuing Correction Notices to comply on violations if needed. 

• Maintaining records such as files and reports regarding inspection and plan check activities if needed for possible legal actions. 

• Assisting at the public counter. 

Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications

• 4 years of building inspection experience

• High School diploma or equivalent education; 

• Candidates shall have a current California ICC/ICBO building inspector certification;

• Valid State Driver’s license with clean driving record; 

• Excellent interpersonal skills are a must. 

Desired Qualification

• Knowledge of standard computer software experience such as Microsoft Office 

• Awareness of Permit tracking software such as Energov, Trak It and Open Gov.

Hourly Rate: $36.00-$44.00.
