The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Global Logistics and Sourcing Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Partner with the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Leaders of the Company to drive sourcing and logistics operational performance, including setting direction on operational metrics
  • Build market intelligence to communicate and drive understanding of external sourcing and logistics market dynamics and expected impact on internal operations
  • Increase visibility/analysis of the sourcing and logistics spend drivers with active participation in the operating rhythm and collaboration with functional and business teams to ensure alignment and understanding
  • Develop understanding of impacts to sourcing and logistics spend driven by sales volume, demand planning and supply planning dynamics
  • Active involvement in driving cost savings for sourcing category by identifying/analyzing options, validate cost savings and support execution
  • Analyze logistic spend and work with the teams to identify, communicate and execute productivity improvement opportunities
  • Leverage increased visibility to continuously improve the allocation of logistics costs to businesses and products
  • Ensure weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of global category spend and drivers including volume, purchasing categories, rates, and translating sourcing and logistics savings to financial statement impact
  • Build the needed capabilities to forecast logistics and sourcing spend
  • Support Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Budgeting processes and operating reviews
  • Standardization & automation of sourcing spend reporting and financial statement impacts
  • Source to Pay and Logistics business transformation support for future ERP deployments
  • Attract, develop, and retain talent
  • Ensure compliance to financial standards related to sourcing and logistics

The expected compensation range for this position is $177,961 - $217,508, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Requirements

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed an verified prior to start) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or Engineering

-OR-

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of sixteen (16) years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Engineering
  • Eight (8) years of experience in financial analysis, or financial accounting in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Three (3) years of experience in financial analysis or accounting related roles supporting the financial performance of the manufacturing and supply chain function (plants, distribution centers, sourcing, transportation)
  • Two (2) years of experience as a supervisor

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of experience in financial analysis or accounting related roles supporting the manufacturing and supply chain operations for companies in the Health Care or Medical Technology Industries
  • Proven communication skills and ability to interact with and influence leaders at all levels
  • Strong finance leader able to define and deploy global strategies and operational rhythm for sourcing or manufacturing and supply chain
  • Proven e leadership experience driving financial or accounting support to manufacturing, and supply chain functions
  • Able to work collaboratively with global team to develop/deploy/improve standards
  • Strong principle-based coaching and collaboration skills
