Supply Chain Manager (Bergen County, New Jersey)

Branded products supplier to industrial packaging distribution, located in Bergen County, NJ, is looking for a Supply Chain Manager.  The ideal candidate must have previous managerial experience and in-depth knowledge of inventory and the supply chain process.   The candidate’s potential to move up to the next level within the organization is considered essential, as the company has an aggressive growth plan.   Furthermore, the ideal candidate will thrive in the entrepreneurial culture of the company and open to taking on broader responsibilities that is consistent with smaller company operations.

The Supply Chain Manager will manage and monitor all inventory transactions at its 5 warehouses.   It is expected that this individual will develop a strong relationship with suppliers who are predominantly internationally based.  Service to our customers is of the utmost importance, therefore, the candidate will be responsible to ensure the proper inventory levels, accuracy and integrity of the inventory.

Main Duties

  • Plan, monitor, support and execute all tasks related to inventory management.
  • Review all vendor purchase orders to ensure the strategic flow of material purchases.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity by directing and coordinating pre-planned cycle counts.
  • Implement any needed inventory control procedures.
  • Coordinate the proper strategic venue for the warehousing of inventories.
  • Supervise warehouse and purchasing staff.
  • Effective collaboration with sales, customer service, purchasing and warehouse teams.
  • Ensure efficient flow of the supply chain by performing critical inventory analysis.
  • Develop an excellent understanding of the supply chain process and implement best practices.
  • Identify problem areas and provide solutions.
  • Periodic monitoring of inventory quality. Oversee QC operations.
  • Coordinate product data of Sales & Marketing for MSDS and TDS documents.


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing inventory related matters.
  • Must have experience and strong knowledge with systems (ERP, Excel, etc.).
  • Effective organizational, communication, problem solving and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
