The Watershed Agricultural Council, a non-profit organization working to protect the NYC Watershed, while supporting farm and forest land uses, is seeking a Watershed Forester. The Watershed Forester ensures the protection and enhancement of water quality and the economic viability of the working forest landscape in the New York City water supply system by overseeing programs that provide technical assistance, financial incentives, and educational support for loggers, landowners, and foresters. Salary, $60,000-$73,000 The Watershed Agricultural Councils mission: To promote the economic viability of agriculture and forestry, the protection of water quality, and the conservation of working landscapes through strong local leadership and sustainable public-private partnerships. The Watershed Agricultural Council (also known as WAC or the Council) works with farm and forest landowners in the New York City Watershed region to protect water quality on behalf of nine million New York residents.
