Job Description:
The Canadian Clinical Specialist will be responsible for the clinical development and educational progression of Ossur Canada’s customers, sales team and support staff. This individual will have the ability to effectively demonstrate, educate and build upon the full scope of Ossur’s product line and services. The role will require regular, cross Canada, event coordination with the Canadian sales team and includes, but is not limited to, planning and conducting workshops for customers, O&P schools and Ossur specific meetings. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for identifying and reporting key market opportunities and trends that may further the growth and success of our company through product development and enhanced business processes. As a growing member of our Canadian team, the Clinical Specialist will collaborate with Ossur’s broader Academy team and have access to our partnering prosthetic facilities in order to test, trial, develop and build upon our existing product and service offerings. Organization and presentation skills are critical for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Area Sales Manager’s strategic planning to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals for each territory with the Canada region
- Deliver high level education through demonstrations and lectures on Ossur’s full range of Chronic Solutions products in multiple settings
- Respond to technical inquiries, complaints and clinical feedback from customers
- Report on field activity, training courses and all customer contact scenarios
- Evaluate and implement best practice programs that may assist in the efficiency of our company and its operations (product returns process, outcome measure studies…)
- Ensure Area Managers within the region meet technical competency standards
- Respond to Area Manager requests as needed
- Responsible for maintaining their professional accreditation and standards
- Maintain industry leading professional and technical knowledge of Ossur and other manufacturers products
- Attend educational and professional workshops, review professional publications, and participate in professional societies that may better the entire team’s knowledge position.
- Contribute to the collective knowledge, skill and experience level of the clinical team, both locally and globally.
- Exercise good use of company funds and property within the set guidelines.
- Maintain an honest and professional attitude as the company’s representative at all times.
- Contribute to a safe working environment (in office, lab or on the road) by maintaining a proper working environment.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Accredited Certification (CPO, CP)
- Minimum 5 years of post-certification experience ideal
- Ideally should reside near a Canadian central airport hub
- Minimum travel requirement is 50%
- Must have a recent and active passport
- Computer and technological literacy an asset (Word, Excel, CAD, Scan, 3d modelling/ Printing)
- Demonstrates proficient knowledge and use of Ossur products
- Must demonstrate good presentation skills
